I have a long commute home, about an hour or so, mid way through I
got hungry and stopped at Wendy's and got me a chicken wrap.
I was almost done with it when I chomped down on something very hard.
What the hell? So I spit it out, it's a screw! And I got to say, my
teeth kinda hurt now, I am hoping I didn't chip a tooth.

If KISS actually sounded like this I would like them more.

There is a bunch (for being right by the water at 39ft above sea level)
of snow here. 3 inches and still falling.
It's beautiful, and I am enjoying it's silence.

The Swan

Did you too see it, drifting, all night, on the black river?
Did you see it in the morning, rising into the silvery air -
An armful of white blossoms,
A perfect commotion of silk and linen as it leaned
into the bondage of its wings; a snowbank, a bank of lilies,
Biting the air with its black beak?
Did you hear it, fluting and whistling
A shrill dark music - like the rain pelting the trees - like a waterfall
Knifing down the black ledges?
And did you see it, finally, just under the clouds -
A white cross Streaming across the sky, its feet
Like black leaves, its wings Like the stretching light of the river?
And did you feel it, in your heart, how it pertained to everything?
And have you too finally figured out what beauty is for?
And have you changed your life?

Finally. We got a new computer! With surprise extra gigs on the hard drive! And 3 gigs of ram so recording and such will be much easier!
It's a new iMac and is oh so purdy.

Kansas was awesome! 70º with a warm wind and clear skies the entire time.
Surprisingly (as everyone thought) not all of Kansas is flat treeless land. In fact, Krys had a hard time finding any flat land to show me without taking a day trip.

[info]charmed_art showed us a great time and kept me warm at night when he begged me sweetly to get all "UP IN MY GUTS?!" (that is not Mr.Charmed in the photo. That's Jess looking like she's out of a catalog.)

Lawrence is awesome... more than I expected!

Awesome old houses.Same thing can be said for Kansas City, MO!

The art museum there is amazing!
At least three times the size of the Seattle Art Museum, really gorgeous architecture (all marble), a much better and diverse collection, and it's free! Kansas city feels bigger than Seattle and is definitely cleaner! And people are shit-nuts-balls-to-the-walls crazy for Obama there! As they should be. It's all old buildings there too which I love. We visited Hammer Press, a printing and design studio all done in the old way, when things were hand set and screened.

We also visited Stull and shook hands with Satan.

We ate at and drank at an old restaurant dedicated to Solid Country Gold. There pictures of all the old stars Patsy Cline to the Hanks and a painting of naked Indian woman above the bar.

We visited cemeteries and saw Burroughs' house, we drank, we smoked, we burned, we saw bands, and bought skulls. Thanks Krys for all your hospitality, it's hard to be back.

See all the photos here.

Portland's eastern influenced psychedelic instrumental rock group Grails' new album "Doomsdayer's Holiday"
is now available for pre-sale.

The cover is so – awesome {is the only word I know for it}, I had to share it.
This cover is only available from the label Temporary Residence, because it is "controversial" {The Bandit's 72 Cosmo spread
was more controversial than this image ~ What a man!}
The other cover is incredibly boring.
If your into Vinyl collecting hop over the label to grab the record with this cover limited to 500 copies, if you hurry.

Please go check out the music, it really is gorgeous and with out comparison, or description.
If you happen to want to own some of the music don't bother with the 1st 2 albums, they weren't
Grails yet.

If you want to sample something really entertaining check out the videos on their site. Pasted together from vintage horror movies,
footage of Levay Brand Satanic nudie rituals, and other oddities.

In other music news you can't use, Earth is opening for Nick Cave in Seattle! And Boris is opening for Nine Inch Nails!

I guess life is too short for daily, bi-daily, or tri-daily, posts.
Honestly I just have an LJ to look at pictures daily.

Been busy. Summer.
People coming and going, leaving and staying.
Work work working on paintings paintings paintings!
Recording music. Trying to better myself, free myself from stress
and un necessary negative thinking.
All good.

a localized ~port angeles~ phenomenon through highschool. Occasionally you
can still find one on a bench or a street sign.

Got a candle that smells like dirt after the first rain of summer... perhaps my favorite smell.
The candle is not perfect but is reminiscent of the subject and very pleasant.

One evening I took Beauty onto my knee.
And I found her bitter, and I reviled her.
I armed myself against justice. I took flight. O
witches, O misery, O hate, I entrusted my treasue to
you! I came to banish all human hope from
my soul. Like a wild beast, I leapt on every joy
and sought to strangle it.
I have called for executioners as I wish to die
chewing on their rifle butts. I have called for
scourges, to smother in sand and blood.
Misfortune has been my god. I have
wallowed in the mud. I dried myself in
the air of crime. I have flirted wildly with
madness. And spring brought me the
alarming laugh of an idiot.

~Arthur Rimbaud

I am so fucking sick of this goddamn right-wing capitalist pigs controlling our world, our media, our country.
Do you agree with them, I for one do not. Do you agree with there practices? My biggest outrage is all these fucks care nothing about the planet, condemning us all to a life of sweat and heat, with brown skies, dead grass, where we are poor but forced to buy shit we don't need, while we all die for some cause we don't beLIEve in, all in the name of profit.

Kucinich is the only person in politics who has the spine to follow through with what he knows is right and just and that will benefit everyone and everything.

Once again, America is faced with questions about the integrity of machine-counted ballots and about the rights of Americans to decide for themselves who they should be allowed to vote for in this crucial Presidential election.

In New Hampshire, it's a question of whether votes were counted or manipulated. In Nevada, it's a question of whether the GE-owned NBC television network should have the power to decide who your choices should be for President.

The vote counts in New Hampshire are suspicious. And, today's decision by NBC to exclude Dennis from next week's Presidential debate - even though he met the criteria - is outrageous. And, we need your help to deal with both of these matters.

Because of the unexplained disparities between hand-counted and machine-counted ballots in New Hampshire, Dennis has asked for a recount. "I am not making this request in the expectation that a recount will significantly affect the number of votes that were cast on my behalf," Dennis said in his letter to the Secretary of State of New Hampshire. But, he cited “serious and credible reports, allegations and rumors" that question the integrity of the machine-controlled process.

If New Hampshire agrees to a recount, this campaign will have to pay for it. And we can't investigate what happened in New Hampshire - or protect every other state in the Union - without your help.

Likewise, NBC and MSNBC have made a corporate decision to exclude the one and only voice who represents you and those things that the Democratic Party should stand for. If you are as outraged as we are, feel free to call:

NBC/MSNBC at 212 664-4444 and ask for the Comment Line or
email NBC/MSNBC at letters@msnbc.com
PLEASE share this message with everyone you know so that the voice of the people will be heard and their votes WILL be counted.
